The 'Saudade' series was inspired by the melancholic beauty of Portuguese fado music that I love and find myself connected to. This is a drawing in this series, a seated nude male figure with a posture of introspection. His musculature displays a quiet strength, yet the pose itself speaks of his vulnerability.
